Spring Into Action Woodlands Church
What is Spring Into Action

Spring into Action is a annual event where we as the Body of Christ leave the church building to be the Hands and Feet of Christ, showing love to our neighbors in tangible ways such as cleaning up neighborhood streets and parks, entertaining at nursing homes, aiding other organizations in needed projects, and much more. This is our third annual event.  In each of the past two years over 500 people have served in the community both here and Wisconsin Rapids. We look forward to serving again this year in a variety of projects arranged by our Life Groups and/or SIA Lead team.

How do I get involved?

- Sign up online using our Projects and Sign-up link to the left
- Watch your email for details
- Come dressed and ready for work on Sunday May 1st

What should I expect after I sign up?

- You will receive a printable ticket confirming your registration
- The ticket serves as your reminder of the project you signed up for
- Sunday Morning, May 1st, you should come to church dressed for your project work (don't worry, we will all be dressed in our work clothes)
- If you are willing to be a Team Leader for your project, please contact Collene Ottum at collene_99@yahoo.com
- See May 1st Details below for Day of Schedule

Do I need to bring my ticket to serve?

- The ticket is simply your confirmation and your reminder of which project you have committed to.
- You do NOT need to bring it on Sunday unless you need the speicifc project reminder.
- It is important that you serve with the project you signed up for as we have people counting on us to complete those projects.

What is the role of a Team Leader?

- A Team Leader will serve as a point person to simply be sure the team knows where to go and what to accomplish.
- The Team Leader will be given all applicable specific instructions from the community leaders or community organization we are serving
- This may simply entail a conversation and/or project sheet from one of the SIA Lead Team members

What if it rains, snows, or otherwise is less than an ideal day?

- We have worked each of the past two years in less than ideal weather and been very blessed in the process. Having said that...
- Please plan to dress accordingly, rain ponchos, jackets etc.
- Unless there is a severe weather advisory we will plan to proceed with all projects.  Your project Team Leader will let you know if any aspect of the project will be canceled or not on that day.

Are we having the picnic afterwards again?

- Yes, indeed.
- Our own Doug Allord and team will be leading us in a short time of worship
- We will enjoy dinner and fellowship from 4:30-6:00 pm at the Pfiffner Building

Are there kid friendly projects?
- Yes, the following list of projects are fairly conducive to families with children:
  • Any of the Campground Clean Up projects
  • Plover Cemetery Clean Up - (provided kids are respectful to flowers etc.)
  • City Parks, Trails, and Streets Litter Pick Up (with the exception of busier streets, depending on age and responsibility of kids)
